Mission and Vision: The Enough Food Sovereignty Initiative (EFSI) will establish a Black-led, culturally relevant agri-food ecosystem producing African and Afrocentric crops and livestock products specifically for Black communities across Canada.

Program Description: The Enough Food Sovereignty Initiative (EFSI) is a Black-led pilot project designed to cultivate, process, and distribute culturally significant African and Afro-Caribbean foods for Black communities across Canada. Rooted in food justice, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment, EFSI aims to establish a sustainable agri-food ecosystem beginning in Southern Alberta. Through community-led farming, education, and culinary engagement, this initiative will address systemic food insecurity while building long-term Black food sovereignty and resilience.
